In his Manila Standard Today column on July 5, Teodoro Bacañi Jr. confesses that he doesn’t watch boxing and won’t be heaping praises on Manny Pacquiao’s recent victory because boxing is an inhuman sport.

According to the "BISHOP",
"Professional boxing is not a sport for human beings. It is a brutal and brutalizing affair. It is inhuman. It is immoral, and should not be approved of or promoted. We should get rid of this so-called sport. It is a pity that we should glory in having a champion in a sport that debases human persons."
The picture of Diaz during the bout last Sunday and after he was knocked out was not a pretty picture of a human being. Though Manny was a gentleman enough to help pick up his fallen opponent, the fact is, it was he himself who hurt him and knocked him out, and he rejoiced in having done so. It is hardly human to rejoice in having hurt a fellow human being. I cannot see that as being in conformity with the commandment, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

If I would remember, Bishop Teodoro Bacani Jr. was the same PRIEST who was accused of SEXUAL HARASSMENT by his own secretary about 5 or 6 years ago.
The BISHOP surely has a lot of KNOWLEDGE about the word IMMORALITY being immoral himself.
Bishop BACANI wanted us to believe that instead of watching PACQUIAO fights, we should just rather watch porn movies because anyway, BOXING is inhuman and SEXUAL HARASSMENT is something that THE VATICAN could easily forgive just like what happened to his case.
To even quote the bishop,
"Though Manny was a gentleman enough to help pick up his fallen opponent, the fact is, it was he himself who hurt him and knocked him out, and he rejoiced in having done so. "
My question is:
Was that the same feeling he had after "getting laid"? He rejoiced? Wow.
Here's another excerpt from his column,
"My attitude is similar to this. I may admire a person for his skill in shooting a gun. I will applaud him for his accuracy in hitting the bulls eye in shooting competitions and winning championships."
Wow, see?
He is absolutely an EXPERT on GUNS, BULLS EYE, ELATION, FLAG CEREMONY, HELICOPTER...
...the man knows how to shoot... and hit the target...

I bet his favorite drink is BUKO JUICE.
The bishop is a pretty good writer huh? He should try it out on FHM rather in MANILA STANDARD TODAY because no one reads that paper anyway.
How about having his own PRIEST's CONFESSIONS. I guess he would be fit for that kind of job having many acquaintances inside the convent doing the same thing..

The sexual harassment issue was an accusation --- it was neither proven nor were there any charges filed. She had the full support of the govt and media and would have definitely had the media coverage so there would have been no slight chance that the Bishop would be able to pull strings in this matter. However, the accuser did not file any charges nor even make any legal statements herself - she told people who told people thereby making it merely a rumor. She was scared of the legal retributions of making false charges because she can be counter-sued for damaging the Bishop's name. If she really was harassed --- wouldnt you think she would be angry enough to file charges and put the man to jail? It was all a political plot. You should open your eyes more. You make yourself sound stupid and ignorant when you post such ridiculous ranting. Degradation of someone else's character, of someone you dont even personally know just shows bitterness on your part.
For the past several years, I have observed that my fellow Filipinos are easily manipulated by rumors and political propaganda.
We are easily duped by media to hate the government or the authorities. We don't investigate the cause or the origin of the whole affair.
The Philippine government now is perceived by a large segment of the population as the most corrupt in the modern years. What is the result of that? The world loses their respect for anything Filipino. There is always a big fuzz here and there. Hence, no investor will come in except those that are truly knowledgeable of the political developments in the country.
The Lopez media machinery has done so much damage to Gloria Macapagal. Just because the Lopezes' compadre was eased out and that the son-in-law, the current vice-president, is next in the line, the Lopezes are doing everything to impeach the President or force her to resign.

We may disagree with an opinion or view of another person and even dislike him but in expressing our disapproval we should never divest him with the respect and dignity which he deserves as a human being and as a child of God. No matter how obnoxious a person is from your point of view, that person is intrinsically good just as you are.
