Here is a Legacy

OK. I love basketball. I love the NBA.
I love those dunks. MJ is surely a god.
Kobe would be the best dramatic actor.
And still I am wishing that T-Mac be healthy this season.

Despite all of that, it's the Filipino blood running throughout my veins.
And when it comes to sports,
basketball would always have the same meaning as PBA.

Forget the Super Bowl.

It's SEMIS time in PASAY and soon a crunch time in the Big Dome.
4 Teams left.
The Bulls(not Chicago),
The Aces(still a milk),
the Realtors(ready for landslide)

and of course...

the best of them all...

The GIANTS.

I was born 1989.
A year they started their magical campaign.
Led by The Captain Alvin Patrimonio - the original "Idol",

It has always been 3G's since then:

Glamor
Glory Years
and Ginormous Fighting Spirit

20 Years have passed and it's now a LEGACY for the team.

For me, it's called Tradition.

My Mom influenced me...

*photo-op with Alvin Patrimonio at Naga City back in the mid-'90s

*My first step at the Astrodome of a live PBA game
between the Purefoods TJ Hotdogs against The SWIFT team

*Another Photo-Op with "BIG Daddy James" and the gang
hours before they won the Last Crown in 2k6

*Savoring the victory in 2006 against the bitter rival Barakos

and of course... playing basketball with them
when I was still a kid through my imagination
at our yard... and sometimes at my notebooks with my own drawings

and I'm going to do the same for the next generation.

But for now...

It's SEMIS time... and...

I'm gonna count every single basket
made by another legend
we are witnessing

a team of full of SPIRIT and DETERMINATION...

...and count every win...as I see another VICTORY in the making.

Fuck Brgy. Ginebra coz they are losers.
Same with TNT and SMB(magnolia) which are posers.

We are a team to beat.
and this is not luck... but we call it DESTINY.

We are Marching. Witness The Second Coming

Who Cares?

Her name is Colbie Marie Caillat - the popular girl in MySpace
and now a recording star.
I really don't care how in the hell her name should be pronounced.
I really don't give a damn if her name sounds like that of Kobe Bryant.

All I know is that she's beautiful.
And her music is so damn new.
Yeah. NEW. New to my ears.

Not that same old songs by Avril and the likes which are taken from The Canon by Pachelbel
I mean all have the same sound. Same tune.

Colbie's songs are soothing to the ears.
It's definitely a new sound.
Very refreshing.

Envy

If there is one man in this world that for sure
many of us envy because of wealth, fortune and
high profile status, then I think only one man
would come out in our tongue simultaneously.

Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates; one of the richest person in the world, if not number one.

And at the recently concluded
Computer Electronics Show,
Bill Gates showed a video
of his
"Last Day at Work in Microsoft"

which coincides with his announcement
of retirement from his day-to-day duties
in Microsoft

here is the video:

It's totally funny and at the same time, very natural.
The billionaire indeed showed his comedic side.

Enjoy.

I Am Legend

I just finished watching the movie I AM LEGEND in the big screen.

The movie was really awesome.
It was really an all-by-himself stunning performance
by Will Smith but he was really great all throughout the movie.

Everything was in the movie.
Drama. Humor. Love. Horror. Suspense. Science Fiction.
and of course Medicine.

but what really made me think it's a great and one-hell-of-a-kind movie?

2 Things Dude.

First: The Movie's reference to Bob Marley

Second: Of Course the SoUnDtRaCk... which is obviously... all of Bob Marley

from "three little birds"to "I shot the Sheriff" to "Stir it Up" and of course one of my personal favorite Marley hit;

"Redemption Song"

which was used at the stunning ending and closing credits of the movie.

The movie was a total Kick Ass.

and I'll leave you with this line of Will Smith from the movie;

"He had this idea. It was kind of a virologist idea. He believed that you could cure racism and hate... literally cure it, by injecting music and love into people's lives. When he was scheduled to perform at a peace rally, a gunman came to his house and shot him down. Two days later he walked out on that stage and sang. When they asked him why - He said, "The people, who were trying to make this world worse... are not taking a day off. How can I? Light up the darkness."

Sarah McLachlan

I've been so addicted before to songs of Norah Jones that I missed to hear this another great artist of my generation.

I've just discovered her artistic singing powers last November when we have our duty in Cavite. I was really emotional with her song "I Will Remember You". So here goes a music video by Sarah McLachlan with a very beautiful song I have found on YouTube- "Angel"

Let the Drummer Kick

Let The Drummer Kick - Citizen Cope

I got this song while watching the movie "Accepted". This is really a beautiful song. Something to boost my determination for 2008. This is a good song for every new year and every new day given to us. It's like we are given options of which way we would go.

Possessed

My Christmas and New Year vacation is coming to an end maybe 2 days from now and this has really been one of the best holidays I've had celebrated in my entire life. It was full of things I have never really expected.
The best way to describe me is that I was really possessed for the past two weeks. I've done the craziest stuffs and everything and it was really a lot of fun.
I'm sure gonna miss all those people I've hanged out with especially my high school classmates. You were great guys. This has been one of the best vacation I've ever had.
